In the midst of an intense pandemic, Katie and Nathan found each other. Their first date was over Zoom! It was a very fitting tribute to the state of the world around them. They watched an 80s Horror-Comedy and talked for hours. Both knew by the end of this virtual date that there was something special about the other.

The very next day, they decided to meet face-to-face to see if the feeling was still there, and the rest is history.

From meeting each others' families to spending nearly every day together, life before knowing each other became a very distant memory.

Katie and Nathan moved in together in May 2021, but not before Nathan formally asked Katie's dog Cooper to allow him to be his new dog dad.

Nathan asked Katie to marry him in June 2022, where he recreated their very first date by watching the horror-comedy with a projector. After Nathan excused himself, Katie was surprised by her friend, Hannah, who walked her up to where Nathan was now waiting. Along the way, she found pictures of different memories and moments that they had shared with time stamps. Finally, she ended at french doors that displayed the current date. She walked out to Nathan standing with her favorite flowers around him.

Neither Nathan nor Katie can remember what was even said at this point, as they both were so nervous and excited.

This newest chapter of their lives has been filled with venue hunts that led to their dream venue, and exciting planning that they continue to do together to make this the most memorable and beautiful evening of their lives.
