CJ and I (Katie) met in 2015. We first met in art class our freshman year, and I was quite hesitant to become friends with the outgoing, tall, and quirky football player. Throughout our first semester in class together, we did eventually become well acquainted, and I got to know the CJ that I know and love today.

CJ and I remained friends throughout the year and into the next, and although I always knew that he was quite smitten with me, we continued our friendship and had a blast introducing eachother to new people and having fun around Lexington. Early into football season of our sophmore year of college, we started to take our friendship to the next step, and started dating.

Fast forward to graduation, CJ and I committed to long distance while he pursued a career in the NFL, while I discovered a career as well as what life held for me post college and gymnastics. After covid, CJ decided to fully commit himself to a football coaching career, and decided to go back to school to get his masters at UK, and became a graduate assistant coach for the UK football team. I was glad to move back to Kentucky and really start our life together! We will alwasy cherish Lexington, and it only felt right that it was where CJ proposed as well in Febuary 2022. We are thrilled to be able to celebrate our love with all of our family and friends, and can't wait to become Mr. and Mrs.!!
