Dan and Katie met on Bumble in February of 2022. They hit it off right away! Their first date was at Jerzees in Belden Village. Dan liked Katie so much he wanted to see her again the very next day! Dan swooned Katie by cooking her dinner and Katie swooned Dan by baking him something every time they went on a date. Their relationship blossomed and their friendship grew. On April 8th Dan asked Katie if she would officially be his girlfriend. And of course, she said yes! From then on they were inseparable. They became each other’s best friends.

Dan and Katie enjoyed working on their garden, dancing, going out to Dans cabin, and playing games. They went on road trips to Myrtle Beach, New River Gorge, Geneva on the Lake, and Amish country.

When Katie started having medical problems the two of them grew even stronger. It was a scary and stressful time for both of them, but they had each other. Dan took such good care of Katie throughout both of her surgeries. There was no doubt in Katie’s mind that Dan would make a wonderful husband some day.

Dan and Katie started thinking there was just one thing missing in their life. A dog! So they adopted Ranger and they became a family of 3. Ranger goes with them everywhere he can and is a huge part of their life.

Dan decided it was time to pop the question, so he went and bought a ring and took it with him on their trip to Hilton Head with Katie’s family. Dan asked Jim for permission on the beach and of course he said yes! Dan was so excited and didn’t want to wait much longer. So Katie’s mom said she wanted to take family photos on the beach. The whole family headed to the beach at sunset and Dan got down on one knee and asked Katie if she would marry him. Katie was totally surprised but was happy to say yes! People on the beach were cheering and clapping for them with joy. They popped a bottle of champagne and celebrated all week long!
