Jameson's spirit animal is a hibernating Bear!Hibernation is a state of inactivity and metabolic depression in endotherms. Hibernation refers to a season of heterothermy that is characterized by low body temperature, slow breathing and heart rate, and low metabolic rate. Before entering hibernation, animals need to store enough energy to last through the entire winter. Larger species become hyperphagic and eat a large amount of food and store the energy in fat deposits. Hibernating bears are also able to recycle their proteins and urine, allowing them both to stop urinating for months and to avoid muscle atrophy.

Katie and Amanda met at Vanderbilt when they both become members of Delta Delta Delta sorority. They both moved to Dallas after graduating, took the city (and brunches) by storm, and have been the best of friends since!

Scott's spirit animal is a Cheetah!Cheetahs are active mainly during the day, with hunting their major activity. Adult males are sociable despite their territoriality, forming groups called "coalitions". Females are not territorial; they may be solitary or live with their offspring in home ranges. Carnivores, cheetah mainly prey upon antelopes and gazelles. They will stalk their prey to within 330–980 ft, charge towards it and kill it by tripping it during the chase and biting its throat to suffocate it to death. The cheetah's body is specialised for speed; it is the fastest land animal.

Katie and Andi met in college, but their friendship didn't truly begin until Andi moved to Dallas. Their bond strengthened over many nights of wine and late night pizza.

Jono's spirit animal is a Tuna!Dolphins swim beside several tuna species, including the Yellowfin Tuna. Tuna schools are believed to associate themselves with dolphins for protection against sharks, which are tuna predators.Commercial fishing vessels used to exploit this association by searching for dolphin pods. Vessels would encircle the pod with nets to catch the tuna beneath, however the nets were prone to entangling dolphins, injuring or killing them. Public outcry and new government regulations, which are now monitored by NOAA have led to more "dolphin friendly" methods, now generally involving lines rather than nets. However, dolphin friendly practice can also cause bycatch in sharks and turtles.

Katie and Melissa met in Dallas and truly bonded over their mutual love of 1) champagne and 2) Thai food (well really any food), in that order.

Josie and Katie met in college, when Katie joined Delta Delta Delta, but became amazing friends when Josie moved to Dallas into the same apartment complex as Katie. They have shared many fun pool days and bowls of queso together.

Christina's spirit animal is a Tiger!Tigers once ranged widely across the world. Over the past 100 years, tiger have lost 93% of their historic range due to destruction of habitat and poaching. The global population in the wild is estimated to number between 3,062 and 3,948 individuals, down from around 100,000 at the start of the 20th century. The major obstacle in preserving the species is the enormous territory individual tigers require (up to 450 km^2 needed by a single female and more for a single male).

Katie and Gretchen met in college when they lived in the same dorm and were immediately inseparable. They were often confused as twins by Vandy staff, and have many memories together roaming the streets of Nashville.

Andrew's spirit animal is a Hippo!Hippopotamus, or hippo, is a large, mostly herbivorous mammal in sub-Saharan Africa, and one of only two extant species in the family Hippopotamidae. The name comes from the ancient Greek for "river horse". After the elephant and rhinoceros, the common hippopotamus is the third-largest type of land mammal and the heaviest extant artiodactyl.

The Katie's met just prior to the start of the MBA program and knew in their first conversation that they would be friends. Shortly after, they realized they truly are the same person--same phone password, same lipstick color, and matching outfits on more than a few occasions.

Derek's spirit animal is a Javelina!It is also known as a Peccary. A peccary is a medium-sized hoofed mammal of the family Tayassuidae in the suborder Suina along with the Old World pigs, Suidae. They are found throughout Central and South America and in the southwestern area of North America.
