How We Met

Our story began in 2018 at Cowgirls in Kuna, where fate decided to bring us together. What started as a simple meeting quickly turned into an unexpected and lasting friendship. From that night, we shared laughter, conversations, and an instant connection that felt like we had known each other for years.

The Friendship

As time went on, we found ourselves staying in touch despite the distance. Kyle moved to Oregon for work in 2019, but that didn’t stop us from maintaining our friendship. Late-night Snapchat calls, random check-ins during travels for the Air National Guard, and spontaneous dinners at Toscano’s kept us close. We built a friendship that was founded on trust, support, and countless shared memories.

The Change

In May 2024, Kyle moved back to the Boise area, and we decided to meet up for a shopping trip to Schiel’s. It had been over a year since we had hung out in person, and we quickly realized something had changed. There was a spark in the air—an undeniable shift in the way we saw each other. We both knew, without saying much, that it was time to take our relationship to the next level. From that moment, our friendship blossomed into something deeper, and we began dating shortly after.

The Proposal

Our proposal is one for the ages, the ones we will tell the grandchildren, and they will tell their great grandchildren. That after coming home from a very long and difficult nightshift as a nurse (it was also my very last nightshift), Katie came home to change into her comfy clothes and then get some family snuggles on the couch. Kyle quickly caught her coming down the stairs, already in pjs, and quickly whisked her back upstairs. It was there, in their bedroom, that Kyle asked I would be his wife, and presented Katie with a beautiful ring. And of course, she said yes!

What We’re Looking Forward To

We are beyond excited to spend forever together—whether it’s through spontaneous trips, quiet nights at home, or building Legos together as a family. We can’t wait to see where life takes our beautiful family next.
