Our story begins in 2010 at the University of Wyoming. Kevin and I lived on the same floor in White Hall our freshman year. One day we were standing at the elevators to go down to the hall to get food and me, Kevin and his roommate Cody all got into the elevator together. Once we were in the elevator, Kevin made a remark to his roommate saying "I dont think this girl likes me", referring to me. Since I had not met him yet I respond with "You do not even know me!". So Kevin responded with "do you want to get to know me? Do you want to grab dinner with us?" And since I was obviously flattered I went to the dining hall with them and we became friends ever since. Kevin and I spent our freshman year hanging out and going to shows together. And while we never officially dated that year, we spent a lot of time together and I had always hoped that we would eventually date.

Kevin moved to California the following year and we lost touch.

In 2017 Kevin was working on the Medical Floor at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and I was working in the Emergency Department. He came down to the ED and I trained him. That is when we reconnected and became friends again. We went on ski trips, went to water world and spent time together with our fellow work friends.

In 2019 we both became single and decided that we should try to date. Our relationship took off and quickly thereafter COVID hit. We spent everyday together in quarantine and learned how much we have in common and how much we enjoyed spending time together. Our relationship has blossomed from a friendship into a loving relationship.

On February 15, 2023 we went out to dinner for Valentine's Day and on our drive home Kevin took a detour to one of our favorite spots that overlooks the city. It was a cold and snowy night and Kevin led me to the top of the hill that overlooks downtown. I was completely surprised and had no idea it was happening. He got down on one knee in the snow and asked me to marry him. I obviously said yes, and we are both very excited to start this new chapter and cannot wait to spend our lives together!
