I first met Callan at church. At the time, I was on a mission to find the perfect guy—not for me, but for one of my closest friends. While I was scanning the room for potential matches, Callan immediately caught my eye. He was tall, handsome, and carried himself with such confidence. I went over to talk to him, still thinking about my original mission—but the more we talked, the more I completely forgot about setting him up with anyone else.
By the end of our conversation, Callan handed me his business card. A little spark of curiosity pushed me to invite him to a small group gathering. Afterward, we ended up talking for hours, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something special about him.
By Tuesday, Callan asked me out for coffee. Of course, I said yes—and he showed up with flowers in hand, completely charming me. One date quickly turned into two, two became five or six, and before I knew it, Callan had become an important part of my life.
Since then, we’ve shared so many adventures together, and I know the best one is yet to come—marriage. I can’t wait to spend forever with him
As Katie mentioned, we met at church. I was there with some members of my organization when I noticed this incredibly beautiful girl making her way down the line, introducing herself to everyone. By the time she reached me, I panicked and went into “robot mode”—smiling, shaking hands, trying to play it cool. We spoke briefly before she moved on, and all I could think was, “Wow, she’s gorgeous… but she’d never give me the time of day.”
I handed her my business card and didn’t think much of it—until I got a text from her later that day. My heart nearly jumped out of my chest from excitement. Over the next few days, we talked more and more, and I finally got up the courage to ask her out. To my surprise (and joy), she said yes.
From our very first date, I knew she was the one. I even started calling her my “future wife” right then, and every date after only confirmed it. After eight incredible months together, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me.
Katie is my everything—my best friend, the love of my life, and the light that brightens every single day. I can’t imagine spending forever with anyone else.
