Katie and James met on Tinder in January 2022. Within a week of chatting, they went on their first date at The George pub in Kirton in Lindsey, where Katie was living at the time. Typically, they both left it too late to book the crazy golf in York… and if anyone knows how bad Katie is at golf, it was probably for the best.A few months later, Katie went travelling to Thailand for just over two weeks in April. During that time, James and Katie realised this was becoming something more than just a fling.James eventually moved into Katie’s house in Kirton, commuting around an hour each way to work. Together, they began looking towards a more permanent future at Arglam.During this period, James secured a position at Cranwick’s PLC, ticking off a bucket-list dream of becoming a Fieldman. Katie also made a move within the insurance sector.At the end of 2023, Buddy — a working cocker spaniel puppy — joined the Wells-Hawcroft household, bringing with him countless adventures and a fair amount of mayhem.James and Katie have since become big-time cruisers, exploring the world in style. On their second cruise together, while on the sun deck in Barcelona, James decided it was the perfect moment to get down on one knee. With sunsets, a full moon, and a little bit of wind, Katie said yes.Join us as we continue our journey, bring our lives together, and finish our home at Arglam. We can’t wait to celebrate our partnership, friendship, and love with all the people we care about.

Please note Katie's Mum has booked the rooms here and they will go to family first. Located in Barton-upon-Humber, Nelthorpe Arms features a garden, restaurant, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property.

Nelthorpe Arms

Located in Barton-upon-Humber, The Hope and Anchor Pub has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. This 4-star hotel offers a bar. The hotel has family rooms. At the hotel, the rooms are equipped with a closet and a flat-screen TV. Featuring a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries, rooms at The Hope and Anchor Pub also have free WiFi, while some have a river view. All rooms will provide guests with a desk and a coffee machine. A continental breakfast is available at the accommodation.

Located in Barton-upon-Humber, The George Inn has a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. The inn has family rooms. At the inn, the rooms have a closet and a flat-screen TV. The private bathroom is equipped with a shower and a hairdryer. All rooms will provide guests with a desk and a coffee machine. The breakfast offers Full English/Irish, vegetarian or vegan options. At The George Inn you'll find a restaurant serving British cuisine. Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested.

Located in Barton-upon-Humber, Imaginarium rooms provides a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar. The property is around 11 miles from Hull Train Station. The hotel features family rooms. At the hotel, all rooms come with a closet and a flat-screen TV. The private bathroom is equipped with a shower, free toiletries and a hairdryer.

Located in Barrow Haven in the quiet countryside, the the barrow pub 2023 ltd was built in 1730 as a coaching inn for travelers using the nearby ferry. We feature a Restaurant, Lounge and Bar with traditional beamed ceilings, Function room and accommodations for any traveler, a garden to the left of the building, and a generous stone car park, suitable for Car or Campervan. At our Inn, the rooms are fitted with Dressing table/desk, Flat Screen TV (not the biggest), private bathroom (some awaiting to be refurbished) Linen, towels, Tea &amp; coffee tray. A full English Breakfast menu is available every morning, including Vegetarian and Gluten Free available upon request. Lunch and dinner options of home-cooked traditional meals, with a wide choice of lagers and hand pulled beers including timothy Taylors and a selection of fine wines, soft drinks and low/nonalcoholic drinks.
