In October of 2020, Christian liked a picture on Hinge of Katie chugging alcohol next to her engaged and married sets of cousins at a family event. Days later, Christian commented on a prompt of mentioning needing help with her fantasy football team in her profile. This sparked the common interest of football, that continues the love of football today. We talked for weeks before deciding to meet in person. We watched the Alabama vs Georgia football game while waiting for Buffalo Wild Wings to get delivered for 80 minutes.

Christian and Katie continued to watch football games together while finding more common interests such as Guitar Hero, crafts, and having the same birthday. Christian showed his love by building home furniture and decor, which we still make and enjoy today.

On Saturday, June 10, after setting up for her parents garage sale, Christian asked if Katie wanted to take Finn on a walk before they went home. We went on a walk at the old Lakeshore Golf Course, now Oshkosh Truck Riverwalk. After finding the perfect spot, Katie turned around and Christian proposed. Little did she know that he also planned a family gathering to celebrate after. It was such a wonderful surprise!

Football sparked our relationship and it is so special that we will have our reception at our favorite stadium, Lambeau Field. But really, the G is for Goodwin.
