Hi everyone!
We’re so excited to share a little bit of our love story with you. It’s filled with unexpected twists, a few laughs, a lot of patience, and even more love. If we told you everything, we’d be writing a whole book—so here’s the short(ish) version!
Our story started during a break from college. Will was home from the University of the Cumberlands, and Katlynne happened to be in Florida for her sister’s lacrosse tournament. Despite being states apart, fate had other plans. Somehow (don’t ask us how), Will managed to get Katlynne’s contact info—and from the very first conversation, sparks flew. We hit it off instantly. Will fell hard and fast—he probably would’ve proposed right then and there… LOL.
Will did everything he could to meet up in person, but Katlynne (nervous as ever) kept putting it off. Days turned into weeks… and then one night, with a little liquid courage, Katlynne finally texted him to come visit. It was 2 AM, but Will jumped in the car and made the drive to Salisbury. By the time he got there… Katlynne had fallen asleep. Classic. But instead of being upset, Will left one of his sweatshirts behind for her—a cheesy but sweet move that clearly worked.
A few days later, we had our first official date at Mission BBQ and the Salisbury Mall. It wasn’t fancy, but it was perfect for us. If you know that mall, you know it’s… an experience. Still, that day marked the start of something real—we’ve been inseparable ever since.
When Katlynne came home for winter break that Christmas, we soaked up every moment together… including catching COVID at the same time. (Katlynne swears it was her plan to get Will to stay longer before heading back to school!) One of the most special moments came during a spontaneous drive to look at Christmas lights. As we drove we sang our favorite worship songs at the top of our lungs. It was during that ride that Katlynne fell just as hard for Will as he had for her. In that quiet, joy-filled moment, we both knew we had something truly special.
A few months into dating, Katlynne made the long trek to the University of the Cumberlands to visit Will for a week. That trip brought us even closer. We bonded more deeply, laughed a lot, and... Katlynne survived Will’s driving on the way home. That alone says a lot—thankfully, we made it back in one piece!
Later that spring, Will wrapped up his college lacrosse career while Katlynne continued her studies. That summer, with more time and freedom, Will spent every day he could in Salisbury. It didn’t take long for everyone around us to see how in love we were. We were building something solid, something that went beyond puppy love.
Over the years, our love has grown in countless ways—especially through our shared faith. Our relationship has always been grounded in God, and He continues to guide us through every season of life. Worship, prayer, and spiritual growth have been key parts of our journey, and they’ve made our bond even stronger.
Together, we’ve celebrated so many milestones: Katlynne graduating college, Will becoming a firefighter, Katlynne starting her big girl job, moving in together, and becoming proud fur parents to two sweet pups who completely run the house. One of our favorite things is supporting each other as coaches—Katlynne with volleyball and Will with lacrosse—especially at our alma mater. (GO CANES!)
Our families quickly became close, and it’s always felt like we were meant to be in each other’s lives. We’re so grateful for the love and support from all of you—our favorite people—and for the winding, beautiful journey that brought us here.
There are so many more details and memories we could share (seriously, we’d need a whole book), but we’ll stop here for now. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter of our story with you all.
With love,
Katlynne & Will
