Our Wedding

Many of you already know Jake and myself, but for those of you who may not here’s a little bit about us. Jake and I both grew up in two different states before we met. He grew up in Decatur, Illinois with his parents and sister. While I grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina with my parents, brothers, and sister. We had never met until a few years ago when I moved to Rock Hill, South Carolina to start the next chapter of my life. Little did I know that next chapter was with Jake. I was out one evening with some girlfriends and he came into the same restaurant we were at, Empire Pizza. On Oct 24th, 2019, the day that brought us together. It wasn’t long after meeting that Jake and I fell for each other. We had so much fun together making so many memories. We got our very first apartment together which soon would be to small for our little family. Fast forward to January 19th, 2021 when we brought our 2 beautiful little boys, Lucas and Owen into this world. We have spent the last 2 1/2 years loving the life we have built together and being parents. Now we are blessed to be able to do it forever.

Lea and I met 8 years ago while working at Treehouse in Charlotte, North Carolina. Right away we gravitated towards each other and quickly became close friends.  We bonded over our outgoing and wild personalities. Over the years we have made so many memories together even after she had to move back to New York. She’s now in New York with her 3 dogs Ryder, Tytan and Ru. We have continued be there for each other and always will be. We have become more than just friends we are family. I appreciate our friendship we have carried on for so long through the ups and downs, through the good and bad. No matter what, no matter the distance our bond never changes. I love you veggie!

My sister you have played such a big role in my life. I remember the first day I came to America, January 15th, 2000. You were the first person I came up to just wanted to be with. I always looked up to you and I still do to this day.  You have always truly been there for me. I can always rely on you to pick up that phone when I needed to talk about whatever goes through my mind. I appreciate you for always being you and being the sister I needed in my life. I’m so happy to finally get to share my big day with you!

Amber McTee

We met through a friend at a wedding. Ever since that day, her and I have become such good friends. She lives in Denver, North Carolina with her husband Zach and their two kids, Gianna and Michael. She’s a stay at home mom just like me. Her and I try to hangout with our children and catch up on life when we can. I’m blessed to be able to share my times with her and can always rely on her for being there for me.

Alyssa Landry

Sam and I met of course through her brother, my fiancé. Sam lives in Decatur, Illinois with her husband Ricky and their two dogs, Luke and Marley. She’s my  movie buddy especially team Hardin ahhh We always have a good time when we hangout. Can’t wait to officially be sisters soon!

Sam Gilman

Maricel and I met during a Filipino pool party where all the families brought their adopted children. We had a lot of things in common and people would think “we’re twins” because of how much we look alike. We have been friends for a long time now. I cherish our friendship and am thankful we can share a mom the mom married life together.

Lindsay and I met while working at Hef’s Bar & Grill in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her and I have always had a good time and never a dull moment when we’re together. Finding out that we both have in common is that both got adopted which brought us closer. So glad I got to share your big day with you and now you get to share my big day with me. Love you shrimp tempura! 

Lindsay Hundza

Ashlyn and I met while working at Red Bowl in Charlotte, North Carolina. She lives in Matthews with her little boy Zayden. We’ve always stayed close since the beginning and get to talk about how we both are mamas with kids. Thankful for our long time friendship and greatly appreciate you for always being there for me.

My sister-in-law,  I am so thankful you are apart of my family. I know you’ll always be my sister that I get to share my special day with. Thanks for being there for me and allowing me to be myself. I cherish the phone calls and having someone I can joke around with. 

Sue Baum

My other sister-in-law who’s married to my brother Jacob. They live in Charlotte, North Carolina. They have two dogs, Lucille and Ella. I appreciate you for always helping me out especially doing my first gender reveal when I was pregnant, planning for the boys birthday party, bridal shower and whatever it is, you’re always there to do it. I’m so glad we have become sisters because you’re a wonderful person inside and out.

My nieces, I’ve watched you 3 grown into such a beautiful young ladies. I’m so happy that we get to share my big day with you 3. Thank you for always being you and being so kind to Lucas & Owen. I love you 3 so much and I can’t wait for the big day! 

Sage, Kelsey, McKinley

The youngest of the nieces. I have love watching you to turn into a young beautiful lady who’s full of energy that I no longer have lol. Thank you for always being so playful with Lucas and Owen. I’m so happy you could be there on my big day! 

Kara Baum

Zach and I started working together at JT’s Kia of Rock Hill in 2021. Became good friends and family friends with his wife Alyssa and two children; Gianna and Michael. Zach is someone I look up to and a reliable friend. This is why we have bonded so well because of the friendship we have.

Wade and I have known each other when they were 5 years old. Wade has a little boy name Luka and a girlfriend name Selena. Both grew up together in Decatur, Illinois, went to school at Warrensburg High School and played baseball together. Been a life long friends even when I moved away.

Ricky is my brother in-law who’s married to my sister Sam Gilman. He lives in Decatur, Illnois with their dog Marley and Luke. When I was really young, my sister would always bring Ricky and hangout at The Ryder’s house.

Joe and I met close enough to call it 3 years at our current place of business JT’s Kia of Rock Hill. After speaking with him and hanging out a few times I think we both knew we were boys. Since then we have became close friends, a person I know would help me if I needed it, and someone I trust. He is now married to one of Katrina’s extremely long time friend Maricel.

Joe Sonatore

Sean and I have known each other for a little over 2 years. One of the more interesting people I’ve ever met, both talk quite a bit about random news or trips he has been on around the world. Katrina and I have had the pleasure of hanging out with him at his house and he is an awesome cook!

Sean Trueman

Nate and I met about 4 years ago when he was working part time at JT’s Kia of Rock Hill and became friends pretty quickly. We both golf as often as they can and always had a freaking awesome weekend in Charleston for the 4th of July.

The brothers-in-law, I got quite a bit to say about each of them individually but the overall I’m very excited to become apart of the family and spend the years to come watching each others children grow and becoming closer!

My only nephew and my favorite one. I have had the pleasure of watching you grow and I cannot believe how fast you have grown up. I’m so happy you get to be part of my big day. I can’t wait to see you pull your cousins on the wagon.

My two boys. The ones who made me a mother. The ones who changed my world. I never knew what my life was missing until the day you were born. I thank God everyday for you both. I thank God everyday he allowed me to wake up that day so I could be there for you. You both have shown me real happiness, the meaning of love. My heart continues to grow everyday watching you. I cannot wait to watch you both come down the aisle to tie father and I. My family, this family with you, is more than I could have ever asked for. I love you both more than life.
