It all started with a Twitter DM. . . Cecilio DM'ed Katrina, asking her about a silly goofy tweet of hers. The two talked non-stop and eventually agreed to hang out when Cecilio returned from Dallas, Texas to El Paso, Texas. A week later the couple had their first date. They spent 6 hours talking in the park and legend has it they have not stopped talking ever since.

In 2020, Katrina graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Political Science from the University of Texas at El Paso. She had her family over for dinner where Cecilio got to meet everyone for the first time.

Newly into their relationship and still learning what the other was interested in, Katrina and Cecilio agreed to go on their first hike together! This is also the date of their last hike together!

Katrina and Cecilio decided to take their first trip together! They drove from El Paso to San Diego California to visit their friend Galaxy! On the trip, the couple got to experience the San Diego Zoo, crab shacks, and the beach!

Katrina and Cecilio celebrated their first Christmas together!

Katrina and Cecilio joined the Huitron family in making tamales for the first time! This soon became a treasured tradition for the couple, and they now occasionally make their own tamales when the craving strikes!

Katrina took Cecilio indoor skydiving! Cecilio loved it and still talks about "for real" sky diving one day. Katrina on the other hand . . . well she loves the pictures from this memory!

Cecilio takes Katrina to her first ever Quinceañera!

Katrina and Cecilio took a trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where they visited Meow Wolfe- The House of Eternal Return. They both HIGHLY recommend visiting this interactive art exhibit for any people into cooky things like them!

Katrina and Cecilio visited Las Vegas! They enjoyed some gambling, sightseeing, and a beautiful Van Gogh Immersive Art Exhibit!

About a month later, upon a finding of an unredeemed $6.37 voucher from the casino, Katrina and Cecilio decided to visit Vegas again, this time as a celebration of their first anniversary!

They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but the performance from Ru Paul Drag Queens is one that Katrina and Cecilio will remember forever!

Katrina started her first day of Law School at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. Cecilio joined her to help her get settled while he completed his Master's Degree back at the University of Texas at El Paso!

Cecilio graduated with his Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Texas at El Paso! [Katrina was taking finals for her first semester of law school and could not make the ceremony-- she is still sad about it.]

Katrina and Cecilio officially moved in together in their first apartment located in Coralville, Iowa.

Katrina and Cecilio adopted a beautiful cat together! She was named Cora Louise and the couple adore her immensely. Katrina often jokes that the John Wick movies make sense after having met Cora.

To celebrate their second anniversary, Katrina and Cecilio decided to take a trip to a resort in Los Cabos. They had TONS of fun. . . can't you tell?

Katrina and Cecilio decided to do a professional couples photoshoot while down in Los Cabos. Little did Katrina know that she would end up getting engaged to Cecilio shortly after viewing the photos from this shoot. Fun Fact is Katrina actually did not see the ring at all during this photoshoot, even though it is clearly right by her face in this image.

Katrina and Cecilio attended Kelsea Ballerini's Heartfirst tour and ended up meeting the artist after the show!

Katrina and Cecilio attended their first wedding together! Shoutout to Jr. and Diana-- your wedding was absolutely beautiful!

Katrina and Cecilio attended their first Taylor Swift concert together!! As a dedicated Taylor Swift fan, Katrina has been to Swift's RED tour, 1989 world tour, and reputation stadium tour in the past. She was looking forward to attending Lover Fest before it was canceled due to COVID. When the opportunity came to see Swift live for the first time in nearly 5 years, Katrina jumped at the chance! She made the couple some Swift themed outfits and the two attended the Eras Tour Concert for the first time! The show was 3.5 hours and due to all the excitement, Katrina got sick and the couple had to leave the show a tad early.

But no fear, because the couple attended the showing the next night as well! This time in full from even better seating! Katrina and Cecilio both maintain this is the best concert they've ever been to. . . and they'd see it over and over and over again if they could.

Katrina and Cecilio drove to Chicago, Illinois for an Aly & Aj concert! While there, the couple made sure to go visit the famous Bean sculpture and even made time to visit the Museum of Ice Cream!

Katrina and Cecilio moved (temporarily) to Nashville, Tennessee! While there, Katrina worked for the law firm, Morgan & Morgan, and accepted a job at the firm for post graduation in May 2024. The couple are very excited to return to Nashville and explore more!

Katrina and Cecilio won free tickets to Taylor Swift's Era's Tour show in Minneapolis from an Iowa radio station! The two were fortunate enough to see the show all over again!

On the flight returning to Nashville, Katrina and Cecilio sat next to Taylor Swift's lead guitarist, Paul Sidoti! The couple loved getting to chat with him and tell him how much they enjoyed his performance the night before!

Katrina and Cecilio celebrated their third anniversary by attending the Indy Car Race in Nashville, Tennessee!

Katrina graduated with her Juris Doctorate. She began studying for the bar exam the day after this photo...

Katrina and Cecilio did an amazing, super fun engagement photoshoot with their photographer, Genesis!

Katrina and Cecilio moved into their apartment in Nashville together!! (Legend has it they are still unpacking boxes)

Katrina and Cecilio were legally married in an elopement ceremony on June 13, 2024 at the beautiful Bellmont Mansion in Nashville, TN. Surrounded by only their parents, the two vowed to love each other for the rest of their lives.
