Start Time - Must Enter the park between 8am-9am Arches requires Timed Entry Tickets for each car. Tickets cost $2. We have 11 Timed Entry Tickets for 8am-9am. Timed Entry Tickets not required if people enter the park before 7am or after 4:30pm. This Timed Entry Ticket is in addition to the National Park Entry fee/passes. Please RSVP so we know how many cars and people per car. All national parks have a fee to enter, per vehicle. There is also a 3 day pass since there are other National Parks close, like Canyonlands. Canyonlands does not require a timed entry ticket. Veterans can get a free life time national park pass that will cover the car they are driving in. We will coordinate car pooling to minimize cars and have 1 Timed Entry Ticket holder per car and try to get 1 veteran per car when entering. Once in the park, we can shuffle to whatever car people want. Reentry is possible that same day at any time. But the person that has the Timed Entry Ticket must be in the car that is reentering. Tentative Plan - a group for active hiking and another group for site seeing.

Dead Horse Point State park is "right next" to Canyonlands National Park and about 1 (one) from Moab. People need to leave at least by 12:30pm from Moab to allow time to drive to the Dead Horse Point front gate, if there is a wait and find parking at the Shade Shelter. Estimated about 10 minute drive from front gate to Shade Shelter. Fee to enter the State park is $20 per car for up to 8 people. We can coordinate car pool options that also make sense for the wedding ceremony. There is parking outside of the State Park for mountain biking. We have a permit to be at Shade Shelter from 2pm-3pm. We hope to get an idea of traffic and parking for the wedding ceremony the next day. After the rehearsal, people have 2 hours to explore DHP or Canyonlands before the rehearsal dinner @ 6:00pm. Remember it takes 1 (one) to get back to town. There will also be down time for most guests on the wedding day after the ceremony to explore, as well. With a veteran's pass cars get into National Parks for free.

Total event is about 3 hrs 6:30pm - Start with indoor Dutch Oven Cowboy style buffet Dinner. It is in a large room that will likely be really loud once the room is filled. We will try to get our group in corner. Cash bar 7:30pm - 9:30pm- Guided boat ride down Colorado River. Guide will discuss Native American history of Moab and shine lights on cliffs of interest. 1 drink allowed on boat "Emergency" Bathroom on board Canceled boat ride due to inclement weather is refundable

Jeremiah and I will need to recruit people to help set up the wedding reception at Hoodoo Moab, 1 block from the Best Western, and the Shade Shelter at Dead Horse Point. We haven't determined the decorations. We will try to minimize this. I may see if the Hoodoo is having an event the day before to see if we can get that room set up on Wednesday. The block of time is reserved with the risk mitigation of gate entrance wait time, parking and set up. It is assumed that the "set up group" will arrive around 12pm and the bride will be there around 1pm. But extra time is reserved for contingencies. No chairs planned, except for elderly or handicap. Please tell the bride or groom if you think you need a chair. Please RSVP so we can plan call pooling and group departures. Car pooling is highly recommended to minimize cars. There is 1 parking lot for all of DHP that is open to the general public. We can coordinate the car pool at the closest mountain biking parking lot outside of DHP. Shuttling in only recommended if the line to get into DHP is less then 10 minutes. $20 fee per car for 8 passengers. Or $5 per person. Hoodoo Moab where the reception will be held is the backup indoor option if weather is an issue
