Justin and Katrina first met at Fort Bragg, NC in 2011. There was a clear connection from the start, but life had other plans, and they eventually went their separate ways. As time passed, they naturally fell out of touch — never expecting their paths would cross again.

Twelve years passed.

In August of 2023, a simple connection on LinkedIn brought them back into each other’s lives. Justin was living in Virginia, and Katrina had settled in Texas. What began as a casual message quickly turned into daily conversations that picked up right where they had left off. Within just a few weeks, they were spending countless hours on the phone and texting nonstop, reconnecting and learning about each other all over again. Before long, Justin booked a flight to Texas so they could finally see each other.

It had been nearly eleven years since they’d last seen each other, but when they finally met again, everything clicked. At first, there was a little nervousness — after all, so much time had passed. But the moment they saw each other, everything felt clear. The connection was still there, strong and undeniable, and both knew this time was different.

After dating for several months, they faced a really tough decision—deciding who would make the big move to be closer. After a lot of thought and careful consideration, they both agreed it made the most sense for Justin to move.

At the end of May 2024, the final move to Texas began. What was once just a plan from afar was now becoming real. They reunited in North Carolina—the place where their story first began—and from there, set off on their two-day journey across the country. Finally, they arrived home in Texas, ready to start this new season of life, side by side.
