We are so excited to have family and friends from all over the world attending our wedding! We have reserved a block of rooms at Courtyard by Marriott Boston Logan Airport. We also encourage guest to look at hotels.com for other deals on rooms in the area. Boston has a lot of hotels, Airbnbs, and Vrbos but we recommend you book early for the best deal. New England in the Fall can be quite a busy time for tourists.

Travel

Dante and Katrina met in 2016 in their math class during their first semester at the University of Vermont. They began doing homework and studying together and quickly developed a friendship outside of class. This led them to go on many excursions in Vermont including exploring downtown Burlington and hiking trails around the state.They began dating at the beginning of their second semester and spent their remaining 3.5 years at UVM spending countless hours with each other, going swimming and skiing, and integrating into each others' lives.After they graduated from UVM in May of 2020, Dante and Katrina both moved back to Massachusetts and continued to visit each other as they started working and planning their further journeys in education. Dante then began attending school in Madison, Wisconsin and Katrina began her Ph.D. program on Long Island, New York. Despite being farther from each other, Katrina got to visit Dante and show him the Wisconsin culture and Dante got to show Katrina all his favorite parts of NYC.As they begin their next chapter back in the Northeast, they invite those special to them to join in their celebration as they unite their cherished friends and families.

Katrina and Kierstin met in kindergarten at Wellington Elementary. They always pick up where they left off and are always there when the other needs them. They are the definition of lifelong friends!

As the saying goes, you can choose your friends but you can't choose your family; with Dante, Anthony had no choice. As to why Dante chose to have Anthony as his best man, years of summer traditions, last minute drives hundreds of miles to help emcee events, and a brief time working together all exhibit why Anthony is the perfect person to hand Dante their rings at his side. Anthony is deeply honored to be a part of Dante and Katrina's day as they embark on the rest of their lives together.

Amanda and Katrina met in kindergarten but truly bonded over countless afternoons in the aftercare and their shared love of kickball with Mr. S where “Ka-Twinkle-Toes” wiped the floor with every elementary schooler in sight. From movie night sleepovers and Deb’s infamous fondue to Felipe’s super burritos to celebrating big birthdays and graduations, Amanda could not be more excited to witness this next incredible milestone in Katrina and Dante’s life. Cheers!

Harris met Dante on the bus back in middle school, and have been close ever since. They grew up together in the same town, bonding over shared hobbies like golfing, skiing, and hockey. Over the years, those interests turned into a lasting friendship. Whenever Dante is back in central Massachusetts, they make sure to catch up like no time has passed.

Sarah and Katrina met when they were five years old playing town soccer together. We all know who the better player is…Sarah. They have been through so many phases of life together including studying Latin together for six years and they are still searching for a country where it’s actually helpful. Veni, vidi, vici. It would truly be impossible to live without each other at this point.

Connor has known Dante since middle school and first met him when their soccer teams played each other. Since then, they connected through many classes, playing hockey, and plenty of other adventures along the way. They enjoy catching up more often now that they live in close proximity with one another and like to reminisce as well as continue to make new memories.

Lily and Katrina are cousins and dearest lifelong friends. They grew up side by side (despite the Atlantic Ocean often between them), sharing everything from basement sleepovers filled with laughter and late-night talks to family reunions and marine adventures across America. They’ve explored new places and shared unforgettable experiences — always finding joy in good company and good food. The memories they’ve made over the years have created a bond that feels more like that of sisters than cousins, and Lily couldn’t be happier to celebrate this beautiful new chapter of Katrina's life.

Alex met Dante the first day of college in Vermont. Alex, Dante, and Katrina all grew close bantering over college studies, athletic abilities, and their own quirky natures. They love playing and watching different sports together. Alex has been rooting for Dante and Katrina since they met and is excited for their future.

Claire and Katrina met in 2021 during their PhD's at Stony Brook University and developed a joint passion for avoiding productivity. Between mid-day coffee runs and sneaking "quick" cribbage games during work hours, they became great friends. A few years later, they're still finding increasingly creative ways to look busy. Productivity remains debatable, but morale is always high.

Katrina is like a big sister to Alex... because she is. Dante is like a little brother to Alex... small in stature, low in golf score (but not as low as Alex), but big in heart.

Maria and Katrina are two peas in a pod, the housemate thing is just a coincidence. This has led to joining our local run club where Katrina currently holds the record for least miles run (zero), binging Below Deck "eps", and Katrina acting as the sole caretaker of Maria's singular houseplant while letting Maria take the credit. Maria is honored to be a part of Katrina and Dante's special day, and can't wait to continue Katrina and Maria's date nights with Dante once they're a happily married couple!

Dante is Johnny's cousin on his dad's side, whose family is much smaller compared to his mom's. Johnny always looked up to Dante as his fun big cousin with a lot of the same interests like skiing and baseball. Johnny and Dante enjoy spending time bonding over the Red Sox/Yankees rivalry, and seeing each other at the beach in Connecticut and with the rest of their family in NYC. When Dante moved to the Midwest, he made it a point to visit the Astorinas in Chicago and Johnny began to look up to Dante as a big brother. Dante went to Johnny's football games and palyed poker with he and his high school buddies, a tradition which continues whenever Dante is back in Chicago. Johnny and his little brother would get so excited when they heard Dante was coming to visit, and Johnny and Dante have grown even more close as time has passed.

If you want to explore Downtown Boston and are staying in Winthrop or near Logan Airport, you can take the MBTA ferry ($6.50/person one way) to the New England Aquarium dock or Seaport dock. Other public transportation methods include the T so you can avoid driving and paying for parking downtown.

The Custom House Tower has an observation deck with amazing views of Boston (the best views, in Katrina's opinion). It is free to go to the observation deck, but reservations are recommended. Watch airplanes take off and ferries steam around the harbor.

While the Sox might not still be in season (though fingers are crossed), it's still worth taking a tour of historic Fenway Park (even for you Yankees fans, though think carefully about what you wear). As the oldest active MLB stadium in the country, immerse yourself in history of America's pastime. See the Green Monster that Big Papi hit countless homers over and learn why the red seat is in the bleachers.

For people looking to have a longer stay in the Boston area, the Head of the Charles is the weekend before our wedding (October 16-18)! The Head of the Charles is the largest three-day regatta in the World! Watch world-class athletes race down the Charles River as you sip on hot cider or Dunkin' and enjoy the fall foliage. Head over to Harvard Square for lunch.

Partake in reenacting American history with a visit to the Boston Tea Party Museum. Enjoy some tea after you throw tea over board to stick it to the British! (No offense to Katrina's English cousins and guests).

It wouldn't be a New England Fall without enjoying apple season. Downeast Cider is located super close to Winthrop in East Boston. If you can bear the brisk Boston air, enjoy a crisp cider overlooking the Boston skyline. In fact, the Cider Garden overlooks the Boston Harbor where Katrina and Dante got engaged!
