Dane and Kat met the way most people do these days, on an online dating app. Right away Dane was willing to do whatever she wanted, taking her on a first date to Olive Garden and Barnes and Noble. Their first date, which was originally supposed to just be a lunch, ended up lasting 7 hours because they simply didn't want to leave each other. Since then the two have been nearly inseparable. They knew right away that they wanted to be together for the rest of their lives, the closest either had ever come to love at first meeting.

Three months in they moved in together, baffling more than a few people around them with how quickly they were moving. But to them, it didn't matter. They knew what they wanted and refused to be talked out of it. They adopted a cat named Shiloh, who got along with Kat's cat Edd and the four of them became a very happy family.

Dane and Kat talked about their future, at length, very early on, both wanting to make sure they were on the same page. And, naturally, they were. The weekend before their one year anniversary Dane took Kat to the first hiking trail they'd walked together and got down on one knee, promising to love Kat for the rest of her life. She said yes, and now they are very excited to have the opportunity to share their love with the people who matter the most to them.
