This love story began 40 years ago and it's a beautiful tale of two people who first met in the hallway of their middle school in September 1983. It’s a story that you probably should hear Katrinka and Broderick tell in person because anything otherwise won't have the same flair. But just know that it all started with Broderick singing Michael Jackson’s “I’ll Be There” in the school talent show to impress Katrinka; and the rest, as they say, would become history.

Over the years they have traveled different paths and faced many challenges but they have always maintained a true friendship that has withstood the test of time. As fate would have it, when Katrinka came up against the biggest challenge of her life (literally) in 2020, Broderick kept his promise to be there for her and they haven’t left each other’s side since.

As they celebrate this blessing that will bring their lives and families together, they want to share their journey with all those who have been a part of it.
