Our story begins in Mrs. Dickey's second grade class when Nathan had a crush on me and I had no idea he even existed. Throughout high school we were in very different social groups and never really spoke. However, thank god for the military as it gave him the confidence to come over one night in October of 2021. We both felt a spark then but disregarded it because he lived in Virginia and I was stuck in our little hometown. We kept contact but with a time difference and never being able to see each other it was hit or miss. Time went on and our conversations slowed until one random summer night in July 22. I had been out and had a bit too much to drink and got the random thought to reach out again as he had been running through my mind ever since that night in October. I facetimed him and we talked for hours that night. That was the beginning of the crazy way life has taken us over the past two years. He came home a week after that night on facetime for two weeks and we were inseparable. We knew right then that we were hand picked for each other. As those two weeks started to come to an end Nathan began slipping hints about me moving across the country with him. Trying to convince a girl who had been completely independent for years, flown once, hated driving, and couldn't be more of a homebody to move 14 hours away from everything I know... I have to admit he had some pull though as that last day he was here We packed up the bed of his truck with some of my things. September 22 I flew out to him and packed an entire suitcase of things to leave at the house he had just bought. November 1st 2022 is when all those months of planning came to life as Nathan and I started our 14 hour trip with the rest of my life packed up in my car along with 4 dogs. Our relationship continued to progress through highs and lows and homesickness over the next year. We had a visit from our parents in July of 23 and he was finally able to ask my dad for his blessing to which my dad said he would have his hands full and gladly transfer the burden. As we plan on moving back to Illinois to have our own little farm we decided we had to get married here as it was so vital to our love story the wedding planning began.
