Working our first game together after Sandy finally told Katy how he felt!

One of our favorite things to do was go to trivia at Bear's Den with our friends! Not pictured is Katy and her gals performing Carrie Underwood on stage as part of Thursday night trivia and karoke.

"First Date" Sandy took Katy to Flyway and then a Travellers baseball game. We met up with Heath and Mikayla at the game after running into Peyton and Jordan on our walk over to the park.

First trip to Texas! We watched the Portland Thorns play the Houston Dash and afterwards, Katy and Braden successfully tracked down Christine Sinclair for a selfie. Sandy also was introduced to the RTIC store and First Watch (which are now "must do" activities for him when we go down to Cypress)

Visit to Charlotte, NC to vist Cat and Alex! They took us to see Knights Baseball (one of our top recommended MiLB parks) and Charlotte FC (where we got drenched in a beer shower). We also brewery hopped, had some outdoor adventures, and explored the Queen City.

The first game we ever called together! Katy's former Women's Soccer program was hosting a quarterfinal matchup for the SAA tournament (spoiler alert they went through to the semifinals on a PK shootout).

Our first dinner at Cypress Social to celebrate Katy's 10-day late birthday! This has easily become the spot we go to celebrate big events.

First trip to Aggieland! We visited Bush 41's Presidential Library, watched an Aggie Soccer game, and attended Midnight Yell on Friday night. We spent our Saturday watching the Aggies BTHO Mississippi State. Thankfully Sandy wasn't a 2% and successfully integrated himself into the Blaschke-Abramowitz-Grahmann rich history of Aggies.

Katy's first time at Blackberry Market after Sandy helped our good friends Steve and Janie get engaged a few days prior!

Christmas at Disney! This was Sandy's first trip to any Disney park. We attended Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, all 4 parks, and Darrell (Katy's dad) and Sandy got to build lightsabers!

1 year anniversary dinner at The Pantry!

This was taken at approximately 1:50pm during the totality of the eclipse (yes we wore glasses when looking at it).

Moved into our first apartment! We only had 6 days to move our things in before leaving for all our May vacays.

Holland and Detroit Michigan trip with Cat, Alex, Amy, and Darrell! We went to the tulip festival (which unfortunately many of the tulips had already bloomed), Lake Michigan, University of Michigan's football stadium, an awful Mexican restaurant (which we had to make a 5 hour round trip drive back to because Katy left her wallet and purse there and didn't realize until we were in Detroit), a full self-guided tour of Michigan State's athletic facilities, and an unfortunate showing of Astros baseball. We also made a brief jaunt into Canada to try McDonald's poutine!

Started our trip to Europe in Venice Italy! We attended an opera, a Vivaldi concert, a tour of the Doge's Palace, a tour of St. Mark's Basilica, and a self-guided exploration of the city and its many churches. We ate lots of AMAZING seafood, including many traditional Venetian dishes.

Our first full day in London! We toured Westminster Abbey, walked around Buckingham Palace, wandered around Hyde Park, and visited the streets where many of the Embassies are located.

We made our way to Manchester UK to visit the National Football Museum, eat at the best brunch place ever (Katy still dreams of their pancakes), and casually watch Man City win the title for the 4th TIME IN A ROW!

Paris before the Olympics (although we did get to see most of the outdoor stadiums and signage already up around the city). We went up to the top of the Eiffel Tower during sunset and stayed until the sparkling lights came on, visited the Catacombs, had lots of picnics around the city, and explored the many gardens and streets of Paris.

Both of our first time at an international Disney Park! We visited the newly renovated Disneyland Hotel, both parks, and ate lots of snacks (including 3 mickey beignets filled with chocolate).

Travelled over to Ireland to see Dublin! Lots of drinking and great Irish food were consumed. We went on the Guinness Factory Tour, visited the Irish Whiskey Museum, and spent many hours in the Temple Bar area. We also visited the Book of Kells at Trinity College (where we also had a little picnic in the green), Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin Castle, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Christ Church, and Dublinia (where we learned a lot about the Viking Settlement in Dublin).

We made our way back to London for a few days. We toured Sandy's boyhood club team, took part in the immersive Gunpowder Plot, visited the Tower of London, and headed over to Arsenal.

Our last adventure in Europe! We made our way to the Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studio Tour. We spent 7 hours here looking at all the props, sets, and costumes used in the filming of the 8 films. They had a special Prisoner of Azkaban celebration going on and we got to see items that were only brought out for this occasion!

First trip to St. Louis! We cheered on Sandy's Cardinals (and he finally got Katy out of Astros gear) and explored the city with Sandy's good friend Krishnan as our knowledgeable guide. We had great ice cream (although Clementine's was our favorite), some of the best brunch in the Midwest, and a driving tour of the city!

Our last trip to Texas before getting engaged (which Katy was definitely thinking it might have happened this trip if it weren't for all the games we went to). We went to Austin for the day to watch the Round Rock MiLB team. On our way up we stopped at the Blue Bell Factory, Chappel Hill Sausage, and Round Rock Donuts (we were obviously very hungry). We spent our Saturday with Katy's parents and brother Braden at a Sugarland Space Cowboys game. In case it isn't obvious yet, we really love baseball!

The night before the engagement! We were celebrating lots of family birthdays and anniversaries. Sandy threw everyone for a loop when he showed up matching Katy and there was confusion about what day he would be proposing (but that was his plan to help throw her off).

The proposal! Sandy pulled out all the stops and exceeded Katy's expectations of the whole day (which if you know Katy, she has super high expectations). Read more about this day on "Our Story"!

Celebratory dinner at Cypress Social! We had an amazing server who went above and beyond to make our night special, including taking us for a photoshoot around the lake by the restaurant. This lovely older couple sitting next to us bought our appetizers and helped make the whole night so special!

Spent Katy's birthday at our favorite coffee shop (Doc's), walked around the pumpkin patch, and finished up with dinner at Cypress Social.

Celebrated Sandy's birthday with lunch at Big Orange, followed by the premiere of Wicked!

Sandy's first time in Galveston and first Christmas in Houston! Sandy, Katy, and her family enjoyed fresh seafood, explored all the Moody Gardens Pyramids, completed a high ropes course, and froze in "Iceland" before drinking unlimited hot cocoa in the Christmas light walk.

Celebrating the New Year with a weekend in NWA! Sandy took Katy to her first Arkansas game to teach her how to call the hogs followed by a night out on Dickson to Piano Bar with Abby. We met up with Jo and Braden the next day for lunch and an afternoon at Crystal Bridges before ending the day with some ice cream at Braums.

Celebrated St. Patty's Day at the Rusty Tractor!

We finally had our engagement photography session, followed by a night at the Buchanan house for our I Do BBQ wedding shower!
