At the end of summer, 2009, at the Moon Park Car Cruise, we met at, of all places, a swing set. An instant friendship was formed. The following year, Jeff returned in a pretty blue 1966 Chevy truck that Katy loved and had to learn more about. We kept in touch as friends throughout the years and made sure to meet up every year at the car cruise. Fast forward to September 2019 we had our first date at the Yard which, to our surprise, ended up being three hours long! We didn't even realize we were the only people left in the restaurant. Over the years we bought a house, added another dog, rebuilt a 1952 GMC pickup truck, enjoyed lots of antiquing, and shared many, many adventures together. On August 27th, 2023 in the exact same spot we met 14 years earlier, Jeff took out a ring and proposed to Katy with all our family surrounded. Without hesitation she said yes! We are so excited to share our special day with you!
