Nick and Katy first met on November 28, 2016 in Norman Oklahoma. Nick was in town for the weekend with one of his friends from the Air Force Academy and the whole trip was very last minute. A lot of the guys and girls from Nicks high school ended up going to OU so he figured a weekend in Norman would at least be better than another weekend in the cadet dorms. Well he underestimated just how magical the weekend would be by a long shot. On Nick’s first night in Norman he was introduced to Katy and they instantly had what some would call a spark. The next night they ran into each other again and really started getting to know each other. They stayed up into the wee hours of the night talking about their lives, families, and what in the world the Air Force Academy was. Once Nick left Norman he knew he had to stay in contact with Katy. Long distance was hard but Katy made several flights and drives out to Colorado to see Nick. Eventually the two became boyfriend and girlfriend on April 1st, 2017. Once Nick graduated he got stationed in Los Angeles and Katy made the courageous decision to move across the country so finally the two could live in the same area. Eventually after over 4 years of dating and being madly in love with each other, Nick proposed to Katy on July 10, 2021. The rest of the love story is to be written!!
