Luke and I originally met on Hinge after the prompting of my best friend Megan. Megan actually swiped on Luke, I think her comment was "he looks really nice, you need a nice guy". I was not thrilled with the initial idea of a dating profile and really didn't want to deal with it, mentioning something about the level of creepy guys out there. Anyway, Luke and I matched on hinge, chatted for a little while and Luke invited me to his house to watch a movie. Being a gal and a little leery of strangers rejected his offer with "I don't go to guys homes that I don't know." Luke did not follow up with another option like "okay let's go somewhere public." Knowing Luke now, I'm sure he took this as I wasn't interested, he is a small town guy and would never think into gals being worried about murder or kidnapping. Anyway, after that we fell off, were still friends and would converse once in a while but that was about it. Then, I went to O'Mally's, and I noticed Luke sitting with a friend. I thought he saw me and ignored me. So, I messaged him and said something along the lines of "wow, rude."

Luke swears he didn't see me, however after that we continued messaging and finally decided to grab a casual drink at Cunningham's on the lake. I arrived first and sat at the bar, Luke arrived, then realized he forgot his wallet and rushed home. I thought "I will wait and if he stands me up that's okay, I will finish my drink and head home"

Luke came back shortly later like he said he would, and we ended up having a quality conversation and got to know each other. From there the rest is history.
