As the pandemic came to an end, fate brought us together through a mutual friend. David had bid on a hot air balloon ride and was calling to set it up. This was the impetus for our beginning. We are forever grateful to Chris Empey for donating that hot air balloon ride that led to us finding one another! Over the course of the first three months, we cultivated a deep connection through meaningful phone conversations, and as the mask mandates loosened, we took the next step and decided to meet. Our phone conversations would become the foundation upon which our love story was built.
Our first encounter was as unforgettable as the love story that was about to unfold. Our official first date was David cooking me a steak dinner… he is the more romantic of the two of us (do not let him fool you). Our shared interests became immediately apparent, turning every moment we shared into a new adventure. We love aviation, traveling, working on the farm, and spoiling our Yorkie, watching the weather movie (a.k.a. the weather channel), and our deep love of learning (we watch YouTube for anything we work on).
As we embark on this next chapter, we do so with immense excitement and anticipation. We are grateful for the children that bless our lives and treasure each of them (David's twins, Chelsie and Caleb, and Kay's daughter, Ally). Coming together as a family, we eagerly look forward to the new adventures and memories that we will create. We would be remiss not to mention that our parents have provided us with beautiful and loving examples of how we will move forward in our life together. Thank you for being a part of our celebration!
