It all began back in 2018, when Kayce and John-Michael found themselves in the same freshman English class in college. At the time, they didn’t know that God had already put them on the same path. It wasn’t until the following year, in 2019, that they officially met and went on their very first date, a fun night at the bowling alley.

Not long after, just before the holidays, they made things official and became boyfriend and girlfriend. That holiday season was extra special as they introduced each other to their families for the first time. From there, their story only grew sweeter.

Over the years, they’ve built traditions that mean the world to them. Every Christmas season, they’ve celebrated together—first at the Festival of Lights in Natchitoches, and later, after moving to Texas following college, at the magical Ice show at the Gaylord Texan. Summers became just as meaningful, with a beach trip every single year since they started dating. On their sixth annual beach trip, with the waves crashing behind them, John-Michael asked Kayce to spend forever with him.

Outside of those traditions, life together has been full of laughter and adventure. Whether it’s exploring their new city, competing at trivia nights, or showing off their skills (and competitiveness!) as arcade connoisseurs, Kayce and John-Michael have built a life full of joy, friendship, and love.

At the heart of it all, they are truly best friends who love living life side by side. And now, they can’t wait to begin the next chapter.
