We met serving in college ministry on campus at Angelo State University in the Fall of 2020. As we continued to serve alongside of each other our friendship began to grow! We led a youth small group together and that season is still one of our favorite memories!

In summer of 2023, Jacob left for Colorado to serve in a backpacking ministry. I began getting ready for my first year of teaching. A lot of questions were left unanswered. Our friendship continued to flourish as we encouraged each other and prayed for one another in our new endeavors.

I was constantly praying and asking the Lord to reveal if Jacob would ever become more than a friend. (For the record, I was pretty positive I was going to marry him;).

When Jacob came home, our friendship adjusted differently for a moment but was soon back to normal! We instantly started serving in ministry together and spending more and more time with each other.

FINALLY, after eleven very long months in October of 2022, Jacob asked me on a date. Our first date was in the Sonic drive thru eating icecream and simply talking. (A date we revisit very often!) We had a more formal first date a few days later and from then on you could rarely find us apart from one another.

The next year was full of exciting trips, continuing to serve in ministry, growing with each other, and beginning to build a life together.

In November of 2023, Jacob said he was taking me to a work party at Christoval Vineyards. But, little did I know that by the end of that night he would ask me to be his wife. The sweetest day, and of course one of our favorites!

The next few months have been filled with wedding planning and getting ready for the BEST day! We are so excited to celebrate the beauty of marriage as God intended it with so many of our favorite people surrounding us!
