The Venue

There are a few things about the venue that I have to share with everyone. A few ground rules were laid out within the contract that Jon and I were asked to share with our guests. While we want everyone to have fun during our celebration, we also want to make sure we respect the owner's wishes.

With that being said, there are a few rules, but I promise they're not too crazy. First, all smoking is prohibited while inside the ranch house as well as the barn. This included cigarettes, cigars, and e-cigarettes. It's just asked that we clean up after ourselves. Secondly, while at the ceremony and reception, all alcoholic beverages need to be poured and served by the bartenders on the property. Any personal alcohol needs to be left at the ranch house. Lastly, all cups need to be emptied in the sink in the kitchen before being thrown away. The owner does not want us dumping leftover drinks or ice outside in the grass.

I know that was a lot to read, but she really asked just those few things of us during our stay at the Harper Hill Ranch.

Dress Code

We can't wait to see everyone all dressed up and looking fine for our special day. With that being said, the dress code for the wedding is that we ask for semi-formal/dressy casual.

The Ranch House

So I'm sure you've all seen us mention the ranch house a few times on this page. We have rented the ranch house on the property from noon on Tuesday, July 13th to noon on Thursday, July 15th. It sleeps 26 people, but there is not enough room for everyone to have their own rooms. Some guests will have to share rooms, and I apologize for that. If sharing a room for a few nights is completely out of the question, we have added a Travel page that shows a few of the hotel options in the area near the venue. Not only that, there are tons of excellent options for Air BnB's.

We want everyone to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay while they are here.

If you choose to find your own lodging, you are still welcome to come and visit us at the ranch house and enjoy the pool and festivities. We plan to have a rehearsal dinner the night of July 13; however, the time and details are still being arranged.
