Kaycee and Dustin started their journey as friends and Euchre partners. Dustin, working as a Stanley Co. Deputy was often invited for many family events. Kaycee, her sister Lindee, and her brother in law Alex love to play Euchre (a card game) but Kaycee needed a Euchre partner and it just so happened that Dustin knew how play! That is how their friendship became strong. In January of 2022 Kaycee was left in charge of her 2 nephews, Abram and Opie, while Lindee and Alex took a much deserved trip to Washington state. It turned out that Abram was a Type 1 diabetic (which no one knew at the time) and became very ill. Lindee and Alex were stuck on an Amtrak train in the middle of nowhere and unable to “rush” home. Kaycee was in the hospital with Abram and needed some support. In walks her knight in shining armor (or stud in a uniform ) Dustin! From that moment on Kaycee knew he was the man that she always needed. It took them about 3 months to admit they really had feelings for each other and in April of 2022 they decided to start dating. They dated a year before Dustin decided he better put a ring on Kaycee’s finger and the rest, as they say, is history!
