In 2021, Kaycee and Phil met while Kaycee was deployed in Texas. For the first seven months of their relationship, they were long distance. They FaceTimed everyday for two months, until Phil finally decided to fly down to Texas to see Kaycee in May of 2021. The entire weekend was magical, Kaycee and Phil had the most romantic weekend either of them had ever experienced. They rode horses at sunset on the beach in South Padre, they went on several dinner dates, and they enjoyed each other’s company. It was a weekend neither of them will ever forget. They continued to FaceTime everyday while Kaycee was still deployed.

That August, it was time for Kaycee to come to Ohio to meet Phil’s family. When she got there, Sandy and Phil welcomed her into their family with open arms. They spent the whole weekend laughing and getting to know each other. Even Sandy and Phil knew that Kaycee was the one. They continued long distance the next few months, and in October Kaycee traveled all the way to Ohio again to surprise Phil. After another month later, Kaycee and Phil decided it was time to stop long distance and that Kaycee would move in with Phil. They both knew they were each other’s forever and they wouldn’t have it any other way. Another month later, Kaycee officially moved in and started her life with Phil in Ohio. They have been inseparable ever since.
