Kayla and Daniel first met each other at K-State in their dorm in 2019. She was just Kylie's friend to him and he was just Jarrett's friend to her. Over the next few years they got closer through mutual friends, with Moore Hall always staying a constant factor.

In the spring of 2021, the two officialy became friends by playing soccer every Tuesday; and the last 3 weeks of the school year with sand volleyball every night (iykyk) with a group of friends from their dorm floors. Little did she know, Daniel began to develop feelings for her.

In April of 2022, Daniel asked Kayla on a date to the Konza Prarie!

Daniel graduated from K-State, December 9th, 2023 and asked if she wanted to go the Konza Prairie and walk it one more time for "old time's sake." When she got to the top, she looked at Daniel as he knelt down on one knee!
