Our Story

Once upon a time, in a tragically boring city called Solon, there lived a young woman named Kayla. She was a spirited soul, with a heart full of dreams and a smile that could light up the darkest of nights. Little did she know, her life was about to change in the most extraordinary way. On a dark and extremely early morning, Kayla (and her mother - Becky) found herself in a small warehouse gym, ready to get the sweat on after signing up for a fitness challenge. With sweat pouring down her face, her hair a disaster, and a tanktop full of body odor, she looked up - coming to a finish of a burpee, her eyes met a pair of striking dark brown eyes across the room, along with a warm smile and a shout to keep on moving. It was in that moment that she caught a glimpse of her future. Unbeknownst to Kayla, the owner of those mesmerizing eyes was a charming semi-young man named Ross. He was intelligent, compassionate, and had a passion for life that was contagious. Ross couldn't help but be drawn to Kayla’s radiant energy, her work ethic in her schooling and in the gym, and the way she seemed to light up the room. With a surge of courage, Ross approached Kayla and struck up a conversation. They talked about their favorite music, shows, shared stories of their lives, and laughed until their sides hurt. It felt as if they had known each other for a lifetime, and in that instant, a connection was forged that would withstand the test of time. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, as Kayla and Ross embarked on countless adventures together. They explored the nature though hiking and kayaking, completed excruciating workouts together (until Ross became broken), discovered the best small restaurants, constantly making each other laugh along the way; creating memories that would forever be etched in their hearts. Their love grew deeper with each passing day, like a delicate flower blooming under the warm embrace of the sun. They supported each other's dreams, celebrated each other's victories, and provided comfort during life's inevitable storms. And then, one starry night, as Kayla just finished eating Chinese food with Ross and her family, she discovered the most puzzling fortune in her fortune cookie - “Will you marry me?” With the family watching and ring in hand, Ross turned toward her and waiting the painfully long few seconds for her realize what the Hell was going on. Overwhelmed with joy, and confusion, Kayla nodded her head, saying "Yes.” Now, as they prepare to embark on their greatest adventure yet - their wedding day - the story of how Kayla and Ross met will forever be etched in their hearts. A tale of serendipity, connection, and the undeniable power of love to bring two souls together, reminding us all that sometimes, the most extraordinary love stories are written in the simplest of moments.
