Kayla and Jimmy met while attending Ohio State University. They met at Chumley’s, the original one, back in Fall of 2015. Love at first sight may be real, but it certainly wasn’t the case for Kayla. Despite not the best first, or second, impression Kayla let Jimmy take her on a date in the spring of 2016. They officially became a couple on September 5th, 2016, a year after they first met

After living happily together for over three years in Columbus, Jimmy chose to pursue a job opportunity in Denver, Colorado at the beginning of 2020. After a year of long-distance dating and a worldwide pandemic, they eagerly reunited in 2021 when Kayla moved to Colorado to attend nursing school. On August 8, 2022, after six years of dating, and in spite of Kayla unintentionally trying to ruin the surprise, Jimmy asked Kayla to be his wife.

In the eight years of dating, they have experienced

- 5 job changes for Jimmy

- 3 college graduations

- 50 trips together

- 4 different countries

- over 40 concerts

- a list of over 50 movies that Jimmy made Kayla watch

- 6 Lebron James play off runs

- 1 home purchase

And, most importantly,

- 1 very energetic puppy

They are excited to share the rest of their lives together and are thankful to those who will join them to celebrate their union on September 20, 2024.
