It all started with a Nursing job at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital. You could say it was love at first sight from little conversations about shared music interests to helping each other with patient care. In fact Kayla knew she wanted to marry Eric right away and in a conversation with her mom said “I’d marry him tomorrow” to which her mom replied with the sage advice “Okay be cool. Relax.”


After hanging out for the first time and cooking food together, the feelings were inevitable and shortly after they made it official on September 12, 2020.


One of their favorite Summer activities is visiting different places in Michigan. They had a few days off from work and decided to take a little overnight trip to Grand Haven. After a delicious beachside dinner, Eric suggested taking a walk on the beach to take some pictures and test out their new camera. Little did Kayla know that he had an engagement ring in his pocket the whole time. After finding someone to “just take some pictures”, Eric got down on one knee and the rest is history.


We are beyond excited and happy to be getting married and have all our friends and family around us to help celebrate!!
