Our Wedding

Our love story!

<p style="text-align: left;">In a very cold December 2012, two teenagers who were still figuring out life and who had their hearts broken decided to meet up with friends just to hang out. Both of us had no intentions on getting in another relationship and did not expect to fall in love so hard and fast. After many bumps to the start of our relationship we pushed through everything that should’ve tore us apart. We went through deployments and overnight shifts, but still managed to find our way right back together the second we had time to ourselves. We both knew pretty quickly how much we loved each other, we just couldn’t figure out who was going to say it first. When we first said “I love you” it only made our connection stronger.  Shortly after, Steven dropped down on one knee (with my Pop & Dads approval of course) and asked me to marry him. I knew in that moment it was just the beginning of our story that we get to share with you today. In August of 2013, we decided we didn’t want to wait any longer and went down to Norfolk Virginia City Courthouse by ourselves and got married. Wasn’t the best decision we ever made but our hearts knew that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.  Two weeks after saying I do, we found out we were expecting our first handsome baby boy. Although it wasn’t what we at all planned, we had each other and knew we were going to do everything possible to give this little baby everything he needed in life. A little over a year later we found out Steven was getting discharged from the military and our lives changed drastically from there. We didn’t know what we were going to do with this new life adventure but we did know that no matter what we were going to tackle it together.  We made the decision to pack up our little bedroom we were living in and move down to Ocala, Florida. It was devastating to me to leave my family behind, but I knew I had another family to love just as much as I loved my own. As we were packing our things up for the move, I noticed something was very different about the way I was feeling. My emotions were all over the place having to say goodbye to my family, but it was different than normal emotions. Fast forward to a week before we hit the road to Florida, I found out I was expecting another baby. A couple months after getting adjusted in Florida we found out we were having a baby girl, the first baby girl granddaughter on Stevens side of the family. We went through a job loss multiple job changes and now parents of 2 little ones. Steven decided he wanted to better or future so we packed up our home again and moved across the state to Daytona, Florida. While Steven was in school and we were barely scraping by, we decided this was not where we wanted to stay. While we waited for Steven to finish up school we started looking around back on the other side of Florida to move.  After we finally found an area to move and got settled into our new home, we discovered yet again we were having another baby. It was not at all what we planned, but we knew we’ve done it struggling once, we can do it again. As time went on we noticed our little girl was struggling with things differently than Logan and Annabelle. We were devastated when we were told she was on the autism spectrum, but it quickly changed when we viewed life differently from how she saw things. She has been one of the biggest blessing in our story so far, and we cannot imagine our little family without her.<br />We have been through some major life changing events together and we have definitely had our days where we wanted to throw in the towel, but neither of us could ever imagine going through the ups and downs without each other. After many years of saying we wanted to renew our vows and everything coming in the way of being able to do it, we are so ready to celebrate our lives with you all on this day. We cannot wait to spend this night sharing our story and love with all of the people we truly care about.  <br /></p>
