Cade and I went on our first date April 28th, 2022 to a Mexican restaurant by my apartment. We sat outside and watched the planes fly in, and talked about almost everything! The part of the conversation that stuck with me the most was when he told me about a list on his phone of Disney movies he wanted to buy on DVD for his kids one day.

We talked and talked and went on a couple more dates. A couple weeks into knowing each other we decided to be friends and continued to hang out for 8 more months.

In November 2022 Cade and I went out to dinner with Zach and Bailey (one of our couple friends) to Cheesecake Factory and then played Catan at my apartment. Unbeknownst to me, after that night Bailey and Cade had a conversation where Bailey asked "That felt like a double date, why aren't you two dating?". Cade didn't have an answer and began to think about why we weren't dating.

On December 17th, 2022 while Cade and I were waiting in my apartment for my car to be serviced, Cade randomly asked "What if we tried dating again?". I wasn't sure if it was a joke or not, so I tried to play it cool. After a deep conversation, I told him that I wanted to think about it so I made him wait. He patiently waited 3 days until December 20, 2022, when I told him that we could try dating again. And well, the rest is history!
