Our Wedding

It all began in 2019 with a simple encounter that quickly turned into endless conversations, deep laughs, and the kind of connection that felt effortless. We became best friends almost instantly—two people who just got each other. Then the world changed. COVID hit, and like everyone else, our lives were turned upside down. But even through the uncertainty, we stayed close—supporting each other through FaceTime calls, quarantine hobbies, and major milestones. Alex graduated from his A&P program with a job set to be based in Oahu. Shortly after, Kayla moved to Southern California to begin nursing school. That distance tested us, but it never broke us. Just when we thought things would get easier, life had more plans. Kayla graduated nursing school, and Alex landed an amazing job in San Diego. At the same time, Kayla received a job offer back in the Bay Area. Once again, we found ourselves doing long distance—balancing busy careers and cities hundreds of miles apart. But even then, we never questioned if it was worth it. We always knew: we’d get through it together. Now, after years of love, growth, and late-night drives between cities, we’re so ready for this next chapter—one with no more long-distance and a lifetime of togetherness. We can’t wait to celebrate this moment with the people who have supported us every step of the way.

Think flowy dresses in midi or maxi lengths. Additionally, think pastels in blush, sage, lavender, baby blue, soft yellow, or sage green. Floral patterns and light fabrics (like chiffon, linen, or satin) are also good. Pair with light-colored wedges, heels, or flats.

Gentlemen 

Plan for light-colored suits and dress shirts in pastels or neutrals such as beige, light gray, dusty and/or navy blue. Floral ties or pocket squares encouraged for a touch of charm. Linen material dress shirts are also good! Loafers or dress shoes in lighter tones complete the look.

What to Avoid Wearing

We recommend formal garden attire — elegant, comfortable, and suitable for outdoor terrain. Therefore, we kindly ask to avoid streetwear clothing such as denim, casual t-shirts or sweaters/jackets, and sneakers. In addition, we also ask to avoid wearing white/ivory colored dresses, sparkly/bright mini party dresses, and winter dark colored dresses.
