Clad in tie dye, the two met at Mad Decent Block Party, an electronic music festival happening in New Braunfels. After spending the night dancing together, they exchanged numbers, and the rest was history!
Since music is such a big part of their relationship, Kayla found it fitting to propose at the biggest music festival they'd ever attended, in front of their friends and several thousands of other people. The second night of Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, during Above and Beyond's song "A Thing Called Love", Kayla dropped to one knee, and Lauren thought it was a joke. After Kayla produced the ring and yelled "Marry me, baby!" over the music, Lauren finally accepted, and the crowd surrounding them cheered. They celebrated with their friends for the rest of the trip!
