Our Wedding

July 12, 2023 	On our annual camping trip during summer in 2023, we were blessed enough to travel to Bar Harbor, Maine with some of our family. We were staying at a campground, just a short drive outside of Acadia National Park. Which is also where I had scoped out a nice location for family photos (as I had naïvely picked coordinating outfits in hopes of getting a nice picture together)	Little did I know for three months prior, Jeremy had been plotting behind my back by acquiring the most beautiful ring from his Grandma Mintefering, involving my cousin/cousins in outfit and nail planning (who are now my bridesmaids and Maid Of Honor) and eventually surprising me on the day. I had truly woken up that morning, thinking it was just a family photo day, ha! 	I had said while on the trip but prior to the proposal that this was my favorite vacation we had ever been on, but Jeremy made it a trip I will never forget, a moment I wanted to bundle up and take with me forever. 	I was standing there smiling at the camera, Jeremy and I posing for the photos. I turned to him and said “now let’s look at each other like we love each other,” playfully joking with him, Jeremy with a more serious expression replies “Okay, lets do it-“ He then got down on his knee and asked “will you marry me?” 	of course, spoiler alert, I said yes, but it was more of a cried-yes through my happy tears. A few hikers nearby had noticed and began cheering for us, this made the moment all the more special. Also, don’t worry, I got my family photos!
