Riese and Kayla have been best friends for 13 years; through the ups and downs of life Riese and Kaylas friendship has been a story of growth and strength! Riese can bring a smile to just about anyone with her bright personality and charismatic heart.

Samuel and Riley met in 2017 when they were matched up as roommates for their freshman year of college at Wartburg. They hit it off right away, becoming best friends during their time rooming together and have maintained that ever since. Frequent conversations about their faith in Christ, discussion on Bible interpretation, and straight up joking with each other, Samuel and Riley have so many fond memories and looking forward to creating more! It is an honor and blessing to have Riley be a part of Samuel's life and a part of this very special day.

Samuel's sister, Kaitlin is so incredibly special to us, she has such a kind heart and is truly a joy to be around. Blake is the newest addition to the fam and has already brought so much joy and love to our hearts. We are so excited to have these amazing ladies be a part of our special day!

Casey is one of the pastors at the church Kayla and Samuel attend. Since he and his wife Cailin moved to the area, they've become well acquainted with the happy couple. Casey and Samuel have especially developed a strong friendship. Casey is a caring and encouraging man and it is a blessing to have him be a part of this special day!

Ruthie and Kayla have been friends for just over a year, the two of them had an instant connection and quickly became super close. Ruthie has a kind and patient spirit with those she cares about and makes others feel so heard and understood. She truly has a heart of gold, and words of courage and strength!

Samuel and Grant both transferred to Upper Iowa University in 2019 and met on the cross country team. It didn't take long for the two of them to become buddies. Grant is a social studies teacher and a cross country and track & field coach. He enjoys socializing and can talk about various topics with just about anybody. Grant is a super smart, loving, and hilarious dude! It is an honor to have him be a part of this special day!

Samuel's nieces from Texas, Sophia (left) and Eliana (right). Sophia is 14 years old and happens to be the kid that made Samuel an uncle for the first time! Sophia is in 9th grade she is kind, intelligent and super talented both musically and athletically! She is a percussionist in band and is involved in softball. Eliana is 11 years old and is also gifted in many ways. She's musically gifted much like her sister and parents. Eliana is very sweet, smart, and very funny!

Samuel's brother, Brandon, is a firefighter in Texas. Brandon is the oldest of the siblings while Samuel is the youngest. There's a 14-year age difference between the two brothers. When Brandon and his wife Amanda got married in 2009, Samuel was 10 years old and had the honor of being a groomsman in Brandon's wedding.

Sydnie is a dear friend to Kayla, they have known each other since, well birth! Sydnie has always been like an older sister to Kayla, and as they have gotten older their friendship has become stronger and deeper! Sydnie is an extremely determined and ambitious woman. Though she lives further away she is consistent in her communication with friends and family, and is always willing to be a comfort and support in times of struggle.

Iain is Kayla’s brother and Samuel’s dear friend. Iain is so important to both Samuel and Kayla, him and Samuel became friends a little under a year ago, they bonded over video games and church. Kayla and Iain have had their fair share of turmoil over the years being siblings and all, but over this past year the two have formed a friendship and new appreciation for one another. Iain is a determined and talented guy, he is passionate about his hobbies and interests and is always trying to learn more. Iain is a loyal friend and brother, we are so thankful to have him in our lives!

Nick and Samuel met freshman year of high school at football camp, both needing a partner for running back blocking drills. The two became partners and pretty much kept the tradition alive (when Samuel didn't have a bum knee). The two became like brothers throughout high school and have been around through a lot of ups and downs for each other. It is a blessing to have Nick be a part of the bride and groom's special day.

Samuel and Dylan met all the way back in kindergarten, both a part of a small group of people from their school that grew up in the small town of Fayette. The two of them were pretty decent classmates and growing up in the same tiny town, became buddies over the years. There were a lot of different experiences and life challenges the two of them faced together. Through it all, the two have remained like brothers and it is an honor to have him a part of this big day!

Samuel's nephews from Texas, Hezekiah (right) and Maverick (left). Hezekiah is 9 years old and is Samuel's first nephew. He's super sweet, witty, and truly is a cowboy at heart! Maverick is 8 years old and is a goofy, smart, and strong kid! Both of the boys have wonderful imaginations and are great with building things, especially LEGOs.

Samuel's nephew and niece, Ronan (in red shirt) and Riglee (in white shirt). These two are a dynamic duo and are in many ways inseparable! They have a special place for uncle Samuel in their hearts but as Kayla entered their lives, she has begun to be the true sparkling star in their eyes. Ronan is 4 years old and is super sweet and sensitive to other but also loves to shake things up with his humor and joy for being active. Riglee is 3 years old and is super loving and a beautiful balance of sassy and sweet. She has such a creative and entertaining imagination.
