Kayla & De'Vonte met in 2012 at a Tar Hallow Christian Adventure Camp. During camp, the campers chose electives to fill their days with. Kayla and Vonte were both placed into the ballroom dancing elective. The two were put together as partners for their dancing lessons.

Nine years later, Vonte messaged Kayla on Instagram to catch up.

After talking for awhile, Vonte took leave from the Air Force and came to visit Ohio. He went to Athens to see Kayla at college. And as they say, the rest is history.
