When Kayla and Josh first crossed paths on Bigler Field in 2018, Josh showed up early to tryouts for the Men's Ultimate Frisbee Team (SPANK) and Kayla was early for practice for the Women's Ultimate Frisbee Team (CRISIS). Josh and Kayla threw a frisbee together until tryouts and practice started. Side Note: Josh was not too good at throwing a frisbee at the time. A whole semester flew by until they met again at an Ultimate Frisbee function. Josh and Kayla talked the entire time about life, adventures, and sports. Formal was coming up and they both did not have dates. Josh asked Kayla "So Formal?" and she thought why not? The following day Kayla wanted to watch her good friend play ultimate so she drove him but he requested if she could pick up his teammate. Lo and behold it was Josh. Kayla and Josh began to hang out very frequently where they would throw a frisbee, go to movies, and even got to hold baby ducks that a friend was pet-sitting. On April 29, 2019, Josh asked Kayla to be his girlfriend. Since then both have been die-hard Penn State Fans (WE ARE), gone on hikes through the Adirondacks, swam with sharks and hiked a volcanic crater in Hawaii, and went snowboarding in Killington, Vermont. Killington, Vermont is where Josh decided was the Perfect spot to ask Kayla to marry him at the top of the mountain on December 30th, 2022! That is their story so far and there is more adventure to come especially on September 21st, 2024.
