Some of you know this story and there are some of you that may have heard one slightly different. There are plenty of reasons you may have heard a different version of our story and most of the time it was because we didn't want people to worry about us or we didn't think it would actually end like this. But Jesus had very different and humbling plans for us that we couldn't be happier with.
It is true that there were times along our journey that we could have met at Sharptop in Atlanta or in Florida at the beach but that isn't how our story was written. Ours is one of diving all in to a relationship that met online.
We first connected on Hinge while Kayla was in Texas for a long holiday. After realizing we didn't live in the same town we decided this didn't make sense. Days later Bumble came along and there we were again matched, this time the conversation turned to why not, we both thought the other seemed fun and didn't have plans. So after Kayla's mandatory facetime to make sure Sean wasn't giving off creepy vibes we met for drinks.
After a very long first date we were back at it again hanging out with friends the very next night trying to get as much time in while she was in town. Facetimes turned into plane rides and weekends in each others city until in July of 2022 Kayla packed up her life and her and Sean made the move driving from Scottsdale to Fort Worth.
Over the next year and a half we got to know the good the bad and the ugly of each other getting used to what life in the same place was like while going on travels and adventures together.
Until finally on January 9th with the unexpected help of Kayla's cousin Elise, Sean got on one knee in the Fort Worth Stockyards (in front of one of their favorite spots to bring people when they come visit) and asked Kayla to marry him. Although the time between the question and the answer wouldn't suggest it, Kayla says that it is the easiest decision she has ever made.
