Cameron and Kayla both went to Southport High School. Cameron graduated in 2012, Kayla in 2013. Neither had any idea who the other was. By some twist of fate, Kayla came home from college one weekend to hang out with some friends and lo and behold, Cameron was there.

It didn't take long for the two of them to hit it off. Soon enough, they were spending every waking moment together. Kayla would drive down to Indy, Cameron would drive up to Muncie. Their nights away from each other were spent Skype-ing for hours on end.

Fast forward one year: they moved into a town house with Cameron's now-best-man. Two years later, Cameron and Kayla bought a beautiful first home together that they have now owned for two years.

Almost five years into their relationship, Cameron and Kayla went to Bucket's Landing, a family lake house belonging to Cameron's grandpa and grandma. They spent the week fishing, tubing, skiing, and enjoying the company of each other and family.

To Kayla's surprise, one evening Cameron asked if she wanted to take the kayaks out at sunset. After taking in the beauty of the lake for a while, Cameron stopped. One heartfelt speech later, he pulled out a ring and asked Kayla to marry him.

She was overjoyed and obviously said yes. They kayaked back to shore to meet (most of) the Causemaker's who were anxiously awaiting with wine and cameras to see if Kayla said yes.

What a beautiful and special moment to have been able to share with some of the people who are closest to them. <3
