Kayla & Shawn met through the best dating app around…Microsoft Teams! They both joined the finance leadership development program at Thermo Fisher Scientific after college and Shawn (being a year older) was assigned to be Kayla’s peer mentor. They spent 1.5 years doing long distance, travelling as much as they could across the country to visit each other while Kayla was finishing up the program in Boston / North Carolina and Shawn had moved back to California. Eventually, Kayla joined him in San Diego, where they’ve made great friends, rescued the best dog in the world, and lived happily together ever since!
