About Kayla

Kayla is 24 years old and recently graduated from Salem State University with a Master's of Education degree for Higher Education in Student Affairs. She is a member of Delta Phi Epsilon sorority, which she joined in her undergraduate career and she continues to stay involved as an alumna member.

In her spare time, Kayla enjoys reading lots of books, playing World of Warcraft, cuddling with Flynn, and watching wrestling. She also loves to hike up very difficult hikes just to get nice views and take pictures of Boston.

About Michael

Michael is 24 years old and works as a shop manager for JN Phillips Auto Glass. He doesn't talk as much as Kayla. In his free time, he likes to watch wrestling, talk about cars, work on cars, and shop for cars/houses he'd like to own. He also is a huge history buff, and believes aliens exist because of the show Ancient Aliens. He does like to cuddle Flynn, too, but he lets Kayla do most of it. He is a simple man with simple pleasures.

History

Kayla and Michael have known each other since middle school in 2005. They believe they were in Mr. Shepherd's geography class together in the 6th grade, but they can't remember for sure. They do know that they took Italian together in the 7th and 8th grade, and Michael swears that Kayla constantly made fun of him whenever he spoke in class. Kayla vehemently denies this.

They did not start spending time together until about halfway through their sophomore year of high school, in 2009. The summer between sophomore and junior year of high school (also in 2009) they started their relationship thanks to the help of a good friend (shoutout to Deanna Walsh). Michael asked Kayla out via AOL Instant Messenger!

They moved in together in 2014, when Kayla was entering her senior year at Bridgewater State University, and have lived together since.

In May of 2015, they added a baby to the family - a four-legged one, to be exact. His name is Flynn, and he is an Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix. Kayla often refers to Flynn as their son (because he is). Flynn is a year old. He was adopted after being rescued from the side of the road in the south at a very, very young age. Flynn lives a life of luxury now, so it's all good. He will be the ring-bearer at the wedding!

Michael proposed to Kayla on a cruise in April of 2016, after they had been together nearly 7 years. They celebrated their 7th anniversary on August 4th of 2016.
