If you had told me that a simple swipe right on BLK would lead me to the love of my life, I probably would have laughed. Yet here we are!

Our first date was at Cheddar’s in Brandywine in January 2020, after I sent Mike a “let’s go get something to eat” DM on BLK — and the rest is history.

From the very beginning, Mike has kept me on my toes — whether it was spending almost every weekend together during a global pandemic, cheering on every DC sports team, exploring new restaurants to satisfy our palettes, or traveling to celebrate life’s moments, big and small. He's the person who turns even the most ordinary days into the best adventures.

After four years of laughter, growth, and endless memories, we’re so excited to finally celebrate with all of you — in a way that reflects both our personalities and our shared love of football! Thank you for being part of our story — we couldn’t imagine our big day without you.

It all started with a simple DM. One Tuesday night, my phone buzzed with a message from a complete stranger. Her warm smiley emoji and quick wit made me laugh — and made me curious.

After a few weeks of cheesy puns and fun conversations, she invited me to Cheddar’s for dinner. Between the croissants and endless laughter, it felt like we had known each other for years. I wasn’t looking for love, but somehow, it found me.

Then came the 2020 pandemic lockdown. With the world shut down, we turned quarantine into an adventure — cooking, laughing, binge-watching, and discovering just how much we had in common (especially our shared obsession with sports).

By the end of it, she had checked every box on my “perfect partner” list:

Loves to laugh (and somehow thinks I’m hilarious)

Adventurous (always ready for a new experience)

Caring (always creating something thoughtful)

True sports fan (especially loyal to Washington, D.C. teams)

Now, we’re engaged — and still laughing, still learning, still adventuring.
