On a cold night in January, after a few weeks of talking online, John asked Kayla to dinner. The couple decided to go to Thai in Shirlington near Kayla's townhouse. John left the house and arrived 15 minutes early to dinner when it started to snow. Because of the snow, Kayla's Uber cancelled and she almost cancelled on John! After a brief call with the MOH encouraging her to brave the storm, Kayla got into an Uber and braced the winter apocalypse for John. It was one of the best decisions she ever made.

The couple was having such a good time, that after Thai they went to not one but two bars. One for coffee drinks and one for karaoke! That night was the start of something magical. The two now live together in Alexandria, VA (just outside of Washington, DC) with their two cats Simba and Penelope.
