Sometimes the right person has been nearby all along—you just haven’t met them properly yet.

We had known of each other from school, but it wasn’t until March 2020 that our paths truly aligned. Covid had just hit, and while the world was shutting down, something between us was just beginning. We went on hikes, long car rides, and even quarantined together. It didn’t take long to realize how much we had in common—our love for adventure, the outdoors, and country music.

Cody quickly became someone I felt completely at home with—genuine, kind, and steady. Our connection grew naturally, and soon it felt like we’d known each other forever.

Our first trip together was out to BC, and from there, the adventures just kept coming—Bahamas, Mexico, Australia, Vietnam, Bali, Japan, Guatemala, Peru, and Brazil. But the most unforgettable trip of all was our camper van journey across Canada, where Cody proposed at the beautiful Lake Louise in Banff. I was completely surprised and overjoyed.

We’ve had so much fun building this life together, and we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you!
