Our Wedding

It all began six years ago under the glow of neon lights and the electric energy of a summer night rodeo. The place was alive with music and laughter. I remember stepping into the Golden Nugget Room, not knowing that night would leave a mark on my heart forever. That’s where I saw him, tall, confident, long hair with a smile that could light up a dance floor. I didn’t know his name yet, but something about him pulled me in. I nudged a friend and said, “Go ask him to dance with me.” Moments later, we were swaying together, boots shuffling in rhythm, like we’d danced a hundred times before. After the song ended, I wandered off with my friends to The Cowboy, still smiling from our dance. I wasn’t expecting to see him again that night but there he was. Walking in with his dad, who I’d later come to know as my future father-in-law. Fate had brought him to me not once, but twice that evening. Funny enough, I don’t even remember how we started talking back then. The details are fuzzy, but the feeling, that spark, is unforgettable. Life, as it often does, led us in different directions after that night. We went our separate ways, living, growing, and chasing our own stories. Then came 2024. Our paths crossed again, as if time had folded over just to bring us back to each other. Only this time, the timing was right. We weren’t just two people dancing under the rodeo lights. We were ready to build a life together. Now, here we are. Engaged, in love, and writing the next chapter of our story. I like to think the rodeo didn’t just give us a dance that night; it gave us a beginning. And now, six years later, we get to finish the dance we started.
