We met at Memorial Park Tennis courts in February 2022. We each played on different recreational spring league teams here in Houston. On this day we were playing on opposing teams and as soon as Cooper laid eyes on me, he knew he had to finish the match he was playing as fast as possible in order to watch mine. Now, if you know anything about these recreational league matches, once you finish your match you go home... you rarely stick around to watch others. But Cooper stuck around and watched every bit of my match (which I won, by the way). After the match was over, I lingered a little bit to see if this "cute boy" would try to talk to me. But.. he never did. I had to get to work, so I left. All of a sudden I heard someone shouting "Hey, Hey!" behind me. Cooper hustled over, introduced himself, and this would be the start to many memories to come. We went on our first date to The Downtown MET in Houston where once again I put Cooper's tennis skills to the test. Over the last 2 years, Cooper and I have enjoyed spending time here in Houston as well as exploring what the world has to offer. We enjoy being active, going to museums, trying new restaurants, and just doing the simple things in life. It is safe to say there is not a dull moment in our relationship.
We got engaged at Red Rocks Amphitheater in July of 2023. Cooper pulled off a huge surprise and popped the question at the top of the rocks after a 2 mile hike up the mountain. He made me work for it for sure!
The last 2 years have held some of the greatest memories, as well as some of the hardest trials and tribulations. We look forward to making many more memories together in the future and we are so thankful to have such an amazing support system. We can't wait to celebrate with you and we hope to see you in June!
