Nathan and Kayla met their freshman year of high school; Nathan was a football player and Kayla was a cheerleader. Nathan and his friends joined the Alaska Elite Competitive Cheer team that Kayla was on, and as he claims, he joined in order to get closer to Kayla. On January 16, 2015 Nathan asked Kayla to be his girlfriend with her favorite cookies, Oreos. :)

Nathan and Kayla have experienced so much together from attending high school proms, multiple years of a long distance relationship, graduating college, and most recently a broken leg! They are looking forward to a lifetime of new experiences and challenges together.

In November 2024 Nathan and Kayla took a trip to Kauai which was the best trip of their lives. Nathan proposed on November 7, 2024 on the beach at sunrise and Kayla said yes!
